Headspace workshop for secondary school boys

headspace Schools & Communities are excited to host an online event for young men & boys, inclusive of trans-men/boys in secondary schools across Australia, to celebrate Men's Mental Health Week 2025.

In 2022, the Australia Bureau of Statistics (ABS) reported that 8.6 Australians die every day by suicide, with 75% of those who take their own life being male. Our online workshop is designed to be interactive, strength-based and evidence-informed to encourage help-seeking and increase mental health literacy for this group of young people.

The Mental Health Education Program is delivering our Looking Out For Your Friends: Notice, Ask, Connect workshop.

The session will support young people to:

  • Notice, Ask and Connect – understand how to use these strategies to look out for their friends.
  • Strategies for looking after their own mental health and wellbeing
  • How to access support for young men and those who identify as male
