Health in Difference 2026
For thirty years, Health in Difference has been Australia's leading national forum for advancing the health and wellbeing of LGBTIQ+ people and communities. Since its inception in 1996, the conference has brought together health professionals, researchers, policymakers and community leaders to share evidence, forge partnerships and drive meaningful change in the systems that shape health outcomes.
The 2026 conference marks a significant milestone — three decades of progress — and arrives at a pivotal moment in public health reform. It offers a space for critical reflection on the gains achieved, the inequities that persist, and the work still required to embed inclusion across prevention, care and research.
Delegates will engage with contemporary LGBTIQ+ health issues through keynote presentations, panel discussions and practice-focused sessions spanning data, policy and service innovation.
Part of Australia's Premier LGBTIQ+ Conference Series
Held back-to-back with the Ageing in Difference conference (11–12 June), together these events will help shape the next decade of action in LGBTIQ+ health and ageing — aligning with the National 10-Year Action Plan and insights from the 2026 Census.
