Simon Rinne is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW), men's mental health advocate, and founder of the men's therapy practice Mindful Men.
Simon brings more than 30 years of lived experience with obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety and depression, along with 25 years of using alcohol as a coping mechanism. Following a significant burnout in 2020, Simon sought support from a lived experience GP and therapist, a turning point that helped him realise he wasn't alone and showed him the power of authentic connection, vulnerability, and seeking support.
Today, Simon combines his lived and learned experience to help men open up, strengthen their mental health, and reconnect with what matters most. He is passionate about taking the therapist out of therapy by blending professional expertise with real-life experience, honest conversations, and genuine human connection. His approach helps men feel understood, break down barriers, and engage in meaningful conversations that create lasting change.
Simon regularly speaks on men's mental health, lived experience, addiction, suicide prevention, and the importance of connection in supporting men's wellbeing.
